Do I meet the requirements to work as a doctor in Germany?
As a doctor from abroad you need:
- A valid medical degree
To begin the accreditation process, you must already have completed a medical degree and be able to freely practice medicine. - Passing the professional language test and knowledge test
(these are required for the recognition or validation of your degree) Doctors who have not studied in Germany can only work or practice their specialty in Germany if their medical degree is recognized in Germany. To do this, you must take two exams: the Fachsprachprüfung and the Kenntnisprüfung (medicine). - Fluency in German
To work as a doctor in Germany, you must be fluent in German and have at least a B2/C1 level. It is necessary that you can communicate fluently with patients and medical colleagues.
